Book Drive for San Quentin Inmates

September 17th, 2012 | Author: | Category: Faculty, News | No Comments

Daniel Dexheimer, faculty member in Justice Studies, is holding a book drive for inmates in San Quentin.

In conjunction with a class tour of San Quentin, Daniel will bring books collected through this book drive — an endeavor he undertakes every couple of years.

Please consider donating some books to this worthy cause.  Here is some basic information:

-Donations accepted until 10/29 in the Justice Studies main office;

-Books must be softcover / paperback – no hardcovers;

-No books of ‘questionable content’, which doesn’t have a very rigorous definition, just use best judgement about what inmates should and shouldn’t be reading (‘tunnel digging for dummies’ probably isn’t a good idea);

-Textbooks and regular books are welcome.

We appreciate any donations!
