The Department of Justice Studies at San Jose State University celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2005. Although it has changed names several times over its 75 year history, it still remains the oldest degree granting program in criminal justice in the nation. The department has a longstanding reputation of academic excellence, and we feel that this tradition continues today as our curriculum changes and expands to meet the demands of an increasingly complex, globalized world.
